16 May ~ Talk on the Life of Ann Fenwick

Image: from Wikipedia

Ann (1724-1777) is an important figure in the life of Catholic Britain in the 18th century, and in Catholics regaining their civil rights. She successfully defended her marital inheritance rights in Parliament against a Protestant brother-in-law & MP who was withholding it due to her religion & sex.

Wade Loach, who has recently written a thesis on Ann, will be giving a talk in the library of Cathedral House at 1pm on 16th May. All welcome to come and listen.
