CAFOD global church petition

In this Jubilee year we are facing the most acute global debt crisis in history. It is the world’s poorest countries who are the worst affected. CAFOD, and organisations around the world, is gathering signatures for a ‘global church petition’ to world leaders. In order to restore justice and human dignity, people across the world are uniting in solidarity to demand action on the debt crisis.
Forms for signature are located at the back of church.
Listen to a CAFOD webinar on the debt crisis here. It includes Fr Charlie Chilufya, a priest based in Kenya and Director of JENA (Jesuit Justice and Ecology Network, Africa) who is an expert on the debt crisis and on the human suffering that this is causing in Kenya; also Maria Finnerty, CAFOD’s Lead Economist and author of the recent report, Jubilee 2025: The new global debt crisis and its solutions.
Thank you. Janice Wrench.
