CANONISATION of two young saints on Sunday 7th September by Pope Leo XIV: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxIsefyl9g9A5SGWA4FvGIA
CARLO ACUTIS (1991–2006) was a gamer and computer coder who loved the Eucharist, Carlo will be the first millennial Catholic saint. Born 3 May 1991 in London, his family moved to Milan where he grew up. Carlo was diagnosed with leukaemia as a teenager. Before his death in 2006, he offered his sufferings for Pope Benedict XVI and for the Church. He died on 12 October 2006 and was buried in Assisi.
PIER GIORGIO FRASSATI (1901–1925) was a charismatic Italian Catholic layman known for his deep faith, devotion to social justice, and joyful love of life, particularly his passion for mountain climbing. Despite a privileged background, he lived frugally and generously served the poor and sick in his community, even contracting the polio that led to his early death at age 24 while caring for others.
We ask for their prayers.
May the lives of Carlo and Giorgio inspire us, especially the young, to draw ever closer to Christ.
