Our Lady of Appleby

A new safety rail has been installed by the top steps into church (in the case of a funeral or wedding, when both doors are in use, the rail can be removed temporarily). The work was carried out by Thwaites of Morland. Thank you to Deacon David for meeting with them on site to work out the specification.

Also in Appleby, there are active woodworm and severe dampness issues in the Meeting Room and corridor. Our building surveyor has concerns over extensive and concealed decay to the structural walls.
