Please note that due to Pope Francis’ Funeral in Rome on Saturday 26 April at 9am (our time) our Mass at St. Catherine’s will be brought forward to 8am.Also, the 9.30am Adoration and Confessions are cancelled today. This is to enable people to watch the live broadcasting of the funeral at home.

The Book of Remembrance remains on the sanctuary, for those who wish to add their name and a comment, if desired.

A DIOCESAN REQUIEM MASS FOR POPE FRANCIS will be celebrated by Bishop Paul Swarbrick this Mon 28 April at 7pm, St. Peter’s Cathedral, Lancaster, LA1 3BT. All welcome.

Following his funeral a nine-day period of mourning follows. After this, the process of electing his successor begins. Please pray to the Holy Spirit earnestly for the Church at this time and for the Cardinal electors.
