THANK YOU to everyone who joined us on Sunday for the BBQ in aid of the Neo-Natal Unit in Monze. We had a great day and the dreaded rain kept off! Thanks to the Blue Jam Street Beats who made the lunch into a very enjoyable and fun afternoon. We raised £895.96!

We welcome Fr. Stuart Chapple the Diocesan Chaplain to the Travelling Community. Our parish covers the cost of the marquee on the field for the Catholic Chaplaincy at the fair.

On Weds 11, 18, 25 June & 2 July at 7.15pm at St Gregory's Church, Workington in the Parish of the Good Shepherd weholding a series of sessions to reflect upon the Jubilee, exploring the biblical origins of the Jubilee, the Good News of Jesus, and the implications of the Jubilee on debt relief, peace & justice in our world, and care for creation. We are invited to join them.

A Programme Leader is needed to help look after the residential team of young interns and to lead programmes both at Castlerigg and occasionally around the area.

The Book of Remembrance for our late Holy Father, Pope Francis, is at Appleby today, next weekend at Alston.

A special word of welcome to visitors joining us for Easter. In the Parish, our thanks to all who made possible the Holy Week and Easter Liturgies.

Many congratulations to Adrian and James who received the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist at the Easter Vigil - photos here and on the Gallery. We pray for them and for others in our parish who may be thinking about being Baptised or being Received into Full Communion with the Catholic Church in the future.

We could reflect on the spiritual benefits of keeping a respectful silence in church before and after Mass.
