This last week I had a young religious brother spend some time with me in the parish. Br John Mark is part of a community based in Denver, Colorado called the Servants of Christ Jesus (https://www.scjesus.org/).

As part of his formation he has to undertake a ‘poverty pilgrimage’, no money, no phone, a rucksack and a change of clothes, relying only on providence and the generosity of those who he encounters. I was asked if I could help him by friends in Scotland and he is making his way from Edinburgh to London, via Canterbury over a month.

Please pray for him over these coming weeks, as he embarks on this wonderful pilgrimage of evangelical poverty and trust in divine providence.
